My best investment.. and immediatly huge road trip!

Achat d'une splendide moto 4 vitesses, 100cm³, poignets roses..
Grosse attraction pour les gamins du quartier.

I paid 230.000 FCFA for the machine. And trust me: it's definitely not a wise investment, at least financially speaking. But it provides so much fun, also for the kids around!

After many mecanical problems, we finally take the road at 11pm.. Even the Army couldn't stop us (one of us had a diplomatic registration plate, which undeniably helps). Mechanic problems slowed us down, but we ultimately reached our destination at 2:30am.

Nice, Nice!

Don't be impressed, we were so slow! But on the pic it seems we are crazy drivers in the wild..

Gorgeous week end - Loufoulakari (part4)

More pictures from the beautiful place. It was once (before war) a touristic destination, which is hard to believe. Nature has grown everywhere and the only presence of mankind we could find was this fisherman.

Gorgeous week end - Loufoulakari (part3)

Taking a video would have been better to show the danger. We tried to cross the river, which was the stupidest thing to do. The flow was very strong and the river ends with a 20m waterfall.

Gorgeous week end - Loufoulakari (part2)

Apprentis photographes. Photographers? No way!

Les chutes à l'aurore. Waterfalls in the early morning.

6h du matin, levé du soleil. Sunrise at 6am.

Gorgeous week end - Loufoulakari

After 4hours driving we get stuck and had to lift the car

No comment. It's just gorgeous.

In every village, no matter how small it is, there is a church - and people pray every sunday.

The place to be: Maty (almost every week end)

We usually take kids in the truck and drive them around. As only few cars are coming here, it´s quite a big deal for them!

The entry

Rapids in BZV

My driver : Michel

This picture was taken during the dry season. It is said that on the Congo river, waves can reach 6m high.

How to change the oil in Congo!

Comment faire la vidange au Congo!

The place to be: Maty (only for men that time)

Bébèr the cook, specialized in grill

The Maty river, nice place to refresh (or take shower when there is no electricity no water in your house, as often)

The french touch: Apéro au Pastis

For having a nap, nothing better than an Hamac
